Turning 21 is a big occasion. I would like to thank you for all coming to celebrate this milestone with me. I hope everyone is having a great time. First, I would like to thank my mum and dad for everything they have done for me, not only tonight, but all my life. Thank you for always being there , as a friend and someone to talk to , and to make me my dinner when I come home from college. We're always told as children  that you don't understand what your parents do for you until you stand on your own two feet and do it yourself. Now I understand. Also, a big thank you to all the others  who have helped me over the years and in making tonight happen. Finally, there's this person that I would like to personally thank but unfortunately she's not able to make it tonight and she's none other than my girlfriend, Cassandra. This girl came into my life on the 9th of June last year. Although we have met for quite a long while but its only till that day that we got together. Ever since she came into my life, everything has changed. She's the best birthday gift I could ever ask for and because of her that I finally know what does love means. It means to love a person wholeheartedly and unconditionally and not expecting anything in return. It also means to love beyond any situations and circumstances such as when the person is sick and etc. Also, to standby him or her and cheering on to get well soon. I still remember there was a couple of times last year that I was really sick and she wrote me a get well soon card which was handmade by her with some decorations. It was really sweet of her and I was very blessed to receive that card. And also not forgetting that she called me over the phone to stay up with me to make sure that I was alright. Looking back, being in this relationship is the best decision I've ever made and I have no regrets. She has taught me many things such as putting others before self. Really humbled by her personality and I will treasure and cherish her. My birthday wish is her happiness. Hope that both our dreams will come true and every day our love gets stronger. Thank you guys for listening to my longwinded speech (laughs)
